The classes are tutored by Colm Gallagher, the Education Director of
AMICI.
The group has been in existence since Sept 2004 and has evolved into a
really welcoming and relaxed local focus for social contact. The
participants much enjoy the sessions and meanwhile parents/carers
may join in, chat or even read a book. The practice hall which we use is bright and cosy and our
presence has been very warmly welcomed by St Philip's Church. Some
participants are joined by brothers or sisters and this contributes
to a fully rounded social occasion. So all family, carers and friends
are most welcome.
The classes embrace the philosophy of AMICI and are suitable for all ages and for all degrees of ability .
The classes are free of charge thanks to the Band Trust whose kind
interest and generous start-up funding made these sessions
possible. This was swiftly followed by further donations from EMI
Records and the Chrysalis Group who nominated the group as beneficiary
of their Christmas charity appeal.
